Tune into Embodied Growth Awareness To Create Calm

⭐ Orientation

You may feel a sense of unease, uncomfortableness, doubt and fear arises, particularly when you are in a non familiar environment or out of your comfort zone. Try making a conscious effort to breathe and notice your surroundings. Look around and get curious about what you see, smell, temperature, any sounds that you hear, people you see etc. When we practice orientation, we become familiar with our environment. From there, we move to being present, bringing us back to our core centre, creating calm and safety.

⭐ Body Scan

I love the practice of a body scan, you can access this technique, anywhere, anytime, for a few seconds or longer. Eyes opened, or soft gaze, or closed, depending on what is available to you and what feels comfortable. A body scan, allows you to connect with body awareness so you feel a sense of safety within. Become present, and slow down mind chatter as your focus is attuned with what you’re feeling and in the moment. To practice, begin from the top of your head and keep moving down to your forehead, eyes, the centre of your brows, cheeks, visualise and breathe. Scanning each body part as you go along continuing with your breath.

⭐ Breathe & Enquire

Breathing and enquiring is another accessible power to nurture. We have access to it, if we consciously decide to be in tune with it. Using your breath to connect to your body sensations, notice the rise and fall of your belly as you breathe and notice how it feels in your chest. When you feel anxious, confused, overwhelmed, doubt, worried, etc. Begin breathing inhaling and deep slow exhalation, and start with an enquiry, ask yourself, what am I feeling right now? and what do I need to know in this moment? Trust that an answer will come, keep breathing and remain calm with the experience.
