Life & Career Direction: Raising Your Resilience Threshold Guide

Building your resiliency, elevate coping skills with more endurance during challenging times. Your resilient muscle anchored to manage stress and navigate relationships effectively in the workplace and life.

Here are 4 key drivers on how to raise your resiliency threshold:

⭐ Say 3 Good Things That Happened

Research shows that if we practice gratitude and see the good daily, it anchors us into more joy with happy hearts, which then gives us deeper and meaningful connected relationships.

One tip: journal each evening 3 good things that happened, that you feel went well. Try this for 21 days and see how your energy shifts into more radiance.

⭐ Live From A Strength Based Approach

We need to shift our bullseye view of the world and to ourselves through the lens of a strengths approach. For example, if you’re facing a challenge, whether it’s at work or from friendships or difficult family members.

The way to handle the above, is not through the mindset of thoughts: “this is happening to me”, but rather through the lens “this is happening for me.”

“Happening for me” mentally, empowers our energy, shift into the observer. Here, you no longer are attached, but rather take control as the enquirer. This is when you raise your grit with strategies and solutions and handle situation with more grace and compassion and ease.

⭐ Reframe Stress Lens

Most of us have the mindset that stress is bad, however, sometimes, it’s our habit or our perception of a situation, perhaps being more stressful than what it really is.

One tip to reprogram your view on stress, example: Change your narrative around it, instead of repeating “I am so stressed, or this is so stressful”.

How about saying “ Recently I have taken on more than what I normally do, although, I know I’ve got this, I am learning from it by prioritising differently to accommodate this period. I have supports to reach out to if need be.”

⭐ Recharge Your Energy

Remember to always recharge your energy daily. It might be a 3 to 5 minute ritual. It’s pivotal for your wellbeing because it resets your entire energy field, back to centre, grounded ready to take on the next adventure.

A couple of ideas on how to recharge your energy. Keep away from people that gossip, you don’t want to be around negativity because it’s depleting and takes from your personal vitality.

Take a few mindful breaths, pause, set an intention for the day and say what you are grateful for. This ritual is particularly useful in the morning, as it’ll boost and kickstart your energy with motivation and positivity, for your mental and emotional wellbeing.

Keep building your resiliency muscle
