Conscious Confidence: How To Invoke Your Shadow Self As A Gateway To Inner Freedom

Conscious Confidence: How To Invoke Your Shadow Self As A Gateway To Inner Freedom

Mostly, we try to steer away from the shadow, the parts of us kept hidden, unspoken shame, hoping it’ll all go away. The truth is, when the shadow side of the feminine rises up to be felt and seen, it’s a portal to release, heal and liberate to show up authentically as who you are.

Let’s take a closer look at how you can move your shadows towards the light and be your best.

✨ Reclaim Agency

Being accountable is non-negotiable when working through your shadows. The first step is to notice when you get trigged and ask ‘what is about this situation that’s triggered a part of me?’ Where in my body do I feel uncomfortable?

Tip, reflect back to your triggers and reactions to trace their roots to past wounds or societal conditioning. Then look at your behaviour as protectors to keep you safe from pain, that stunts personal growth. Take a few breaths and journal what comes for you. Continue this practice for a week and notice thoughts, behaviour and actions.

✨ Balance Light And Dark

Integrating the parts of you that make you feel good, uplifted with darkness of the shadow is key to embracing all parts as your human experience.

Use self-enquiry as a super power, the understanding that each part, good and messy serve a purpose for self-discovering and awakening to your most radiant self.

✨ Reframe Flaws As Wisdom

View reactive behaviors (e.g., people-pleasing) as survival strategies that once served you. Celebrate your awareness and wisdom from your experiences and honour what you’ve learnt and how far you’ve come.

Take responsibility to shift from victimhood to being accountable for what you put out into the world. Emerging through acceptance, courage, and the continuous practice of returning to your heart.

Keep moving towards the light.
