True inner freedom comes when we embrace all parts.
Two powerful aspects of our inner world are the ego and the shadow.
The ego is the part of us that forms our identity, shapes our self-image to navigate the outside world. The Shadow is the denied parts of ourselves, that lives inside of us, hidden because we feel ashamed of afraid of what we see.
Instead of listening to your inner critic around negative feelings or thoughts, practice compassionate curiosity. Remember, everyone has a shadow; it’s part of being human. Be kind to yourself and take deep breaths.
Psychologist Carl Jung, said the shadow represents the hidden, repressed, or denied parts of ourselves. By non judgment and bringing light, you can transform shadows to be your alley.
Growth happens outside your comfort zone. Explore those uncomfortable feelings with patience and openness – knowing they contain valuable lessons about who you are. During this practice, it’s important to anchor yourself, take a few deep breaths.
