The ego is the part of us we believe keeps us safe. The mask that holds us captivate into believing it’s all okay, when in reality we stay stuck as an imposter.
Here are 3 keys to open the door to freedom, stretch and grow, rise up as your most radiant, vibrant and authentic self:
Label Ego Roles
The ego always identifies with particular roles, when you name it – give space to step out of identification into witnessing and enquiring.
Tip: for eg; if you are prone to ‘perfectionism’ try naming it when you feel it coming on, say ‘I am noticing the perfectionist part showing up today’ let me get curious here about what it’s trying to tell me.” Breathe and allow what arises to come up and continue with your breath.
Start Witnessing Daily
Developing the witnessing technique elevates your self-awareness muscle, which builds resiliency and emotional maturity.
Tip: use mindfulness techniques like breath-focused meditation or body scans to notice when ego-driven narratives arise (e.g., defensiveness, superiority) without reacting to them. Keep breathing.
The Power Of Taking Responsibility
Accountability is non negotiable in your journey to truth. We can only dismantle the ego when we are fully responsible for our thoughts, actions and behaviour.
Tip: replace blame (“Why did this happen to me?”) with responsibility – “What can I learn or change from this situation?” Keep asking the powerful questions, as the practice of enquiry sets you free.
Keep being in truth.
