Elevate: 3 Ways To Strengthen Your Mindset, For Clarity, Calm and Focus.

Professor Shauna Shapiro advocates 3 elements to living mindfully, they are interwoven aspects that work interchangeably for greater fulfillment and connection. Practicing the three, helps to develop self-awareness, become more focused on what matters and live with greater calm and ease.

Let’s take a look at the magic three:

✨ Attention

Pay attention moment by moment on what you are doing, to become more present and shift from autopilot to the observer, witnessing without judging. It’s important that you maintain self-compassion. Attention is about focusing on what’s important and productivity, rather than circling around with no sense of purpose and vision.

To kick start your attention muscle, be aware of ‘Attention’, just by saying the word silently and keeping a reminder, as it’s the beginning to the journey to an ‘Attention lens’. Don’t get to caught with the how as the first thing is to maintain a sense of awareness, understanding the importance of it and taking steps from there.

✨ Attitude

Attitude is one of the most important aspects in how we deliver ourselves. Look at it like your personal brand, if we walk around with a bad attitude – people sense it and move away.

Instead, if we have an open hearted attitude that sees the world through the lens of learnings and growth and opportunity despite challenges – our energy vibe rises up into the light and beams and others gravitate for more of what we’ve got. Keep your heart open and say “My attitude beams light and love.”

✨ Intention

Intention involves building a connection to and being guided by one’s aspirations and motivation. To start becoming more intentional, begin by spending 5 minutes a day, mostly in the morning in silence, breathing, meditating or prayer, grounding yourself and centering your mindset and emotional state to feel balanced. Then you make decisions and show up with intentionality from a place of calm wisdom, connected deeper with self and capacity to develop greater connections with others.
