Research has proven through neuroplasticity, that we can increase our brain capacity through healthy practices and enhance our wellbeing. This shows us that we have more power than what we think.
Here are some areas that you may want to look at and prioritise towards your overall wellbeing:
Mental Reinvention
Research shows that human connection is a number one factor towards increasing our mental health. We are social creatures and by connecting with others from a mental and emotional perspective, changes the paradigm of our mental capacity, offering us a new and positive perspective.
Emotional Reinvention
Our thoughts create how we feel. It’s important to notice thoughts, catch yourself self-talk and ask yourself, is this thought serving me or sabotaging me? Another way to reinvent your emotional regulation, is to check in regularly, where your emotions sit:
Tip: Create a “Thought Scale”, get a note pad, draw three vertical lines side by side on the page. At the top of each line on each header, write, positive, negative and neutral. Then use it as a guide to track your thoughts. If you notice your thoughts are sitting on the ‘negative panel’, shift your thought to a more positive story to uplevel your energy and wellbeing.
Career Reinvention
You may be feeling stale in your career and want a career change or perhaps you might want to stay in the industry you’re in, however need a boost. Here are some examples to think about:
Have a look at courses within to uplevel your skill set, which could increase your opportunity for advancement. Talk to your manager about your professional development, as they may be able to provide some assistance on options.
When reviewing your career reinvention, think about a career that feels authentic to you, doing something that brings joy. Review what you enjoy, list your strengths, talents, abilities. Remind yourself of your achievements so far. What drives you and what lights your fire.
Visualise your future self and imagine yourself in 3 years from here, what are you doing? how are you feeling in your new career? What’s your role?
