Maintaining self-care practices nurtures our inner well-being. When we nourish our mind, heart, body and soul, we regulate our nervous system and access the capacity to deal with life in a more productive balanced way.
Tips on self-care practices on a daily basis, to de-stress and create more ease:
Honour Quiet Time-Out
Time out is a must on a daily basis, it’s not negotiable. In other words, even if you can spare 3 to 5 minutes to be in silence, to be with yourself, that’s a move to feed your container up with a dose of nourished love energy.
You might want to go for a walk at lunch time, or move away from your desk and do some light stretching. Perhaps, go and make a cup of your favourite tea or coffee. Read a few pages of a book you love. Whatever it is, see it as your wonder ritual that brings you back to centre.
Morning Soul Ritual
We need a morning ritual as our kick-starter for the day. A morning ritual grounds us, brings us back into alignment in our truth. Stops the busy mind and moves us into a calmer mind state, and regulates emotions for greater capacity. You may want to write a morning ritual mantra, an example is: “I embrace each day with open mind and open heart, for more learning and sharing.”
Another idea is to set an intention for the day, by setting your intention you become more present on how you choose to think, feel and behave. Perhaps morning journaling is your go to ritual. Going for a walk. These are examples to choose from daily.
Acknowledge Your Qualities
We need to acknowledge ourselves, so we remember our greatness, our strengths and our abilities, talents and gifts. Reminding ourselves of our strengths, is a resource to increase our self-worth and confidence. Write down one of your favourite unique traits and celebrate why you love and embrace this about yourself.
