Grounded in stillness, find time today to be still and ease your mind into a calm state giving yourself permission to be grounded in the present moment, allowing time to breathe in and release stress, looping thoughts and worries you don’t need. Below is a gorgeous grounding practice you can do for a few minutes when the need arises:
Sit some where you feel comfortable, either on the floor or on a chair plant your feet on the ground, if you are sitting cross legged on the floor, feel your buttock on the floor or ground so you can tune into the earth and feel the energy of being grounded which connects you to the present moment. Take a deep breath in through your nose and hold for a couple of seconds, allow your belly to rise, hold and then sigh out through your mouth imagining all stress and worry falling away as you breath out, repeat this again a couple more times and then continue with your natural breath.
Now, as you continue inhaling and exhaling naturally, start to relax your eyes, your cheeks, your jaw, your mouth, drop your shoulders and breathe again allowing your entire body to sink deeper into relaxation, as you continue with your breath, feel the sensations in your body, where you notice tension, take your breath there and imagine a white light and breathe, inviting some space of calmness to the sensation, continue breathing, noticing the sounds around you and scent, as you notice, allow all this to be and quietly in your mind repeat the mantra “I am grounded and calm” sit with this feeling of being grounded, breathe in it and imagine a golden light enveloping your entire body with peace, grounded energy and calmness, breathe and release, taking it all in. Now when you are ready, gently open your eyes and give thanks for the beautiful day ahead grounded and calm, with love xo
