Self-Empowerment: 4 Ways To Developing A Healthy Relationship With Self

Taking time out for yourself each day, allows you to nourish your soul, nurture your heart and reset your mind and body to recharge. Enabling your energy system to move in more balance and flow. Prioritise even 10 minutes a day, a good time is the morning, to set you up for the day.

Be mindful what thoughts you are having about yourself. Our thoughts set our intention, then create our reality. When we get into a habit of thinking, such as, regurgitating on limiting beliefs, questioning our abilities, etc, we are attached, lost in it. Switch, by noticing and become the witness behind the thought and watch yourself as the observer. Practising being the witness is empowering, because you are no longer attached to the thoughts and empowered to choose.

Boundary setting is one of the most important self-care practices we must cultivate to develop a healthy relationship with ourselves, which then translates into building healthy relationships with others. It’s vital because you must honour and respect your needs, what’s okay for you and what’s not okay for you. Firstly, get clear on what you accept or won’t accept and then set boundaries accordingly. I know it’s difficult to say no or ask for what you want, however the more you take action the easier it gets.

We all want to feel a loving sense of joy, however, without gratefulness we don’t feel pure joy, we may experience a glimpse of joy, but not in a true deep sense. To feel true joy, you need to practice the art of being grateful. Be grateful for everything, for the fun stuff and the hard stuff, it’s all part of the human experience, open your heart to life and say “thank you god, universe for giving me life, I embrace it all and I am truly in heart grateful”.
Keep developing into your true-self.
